Damask Divas February Blog Hop - Ivy Lane

My project using the brand new Ivy Lane paper pack is a Valentine's Day mini album.  This paper pack is romantic and feminine and is perfect for saying "I love you".  I also used the February Stamp of the Month called Wild About Love.

This mini album has cuts from Artbooking, Artiste and Art Philosophy.  The base was cut at about 3.75 inches by 6.75 and then I sized all of the shapes to fit using the cricut craft room. 

I added pockets from Artbooking so that I can add multiple pictures to some pages and journaling tags to write about our day.  The journaling tags were stamped with the stamp set called Sweet and Lovely from the Artbooking collection.

Mojo Monday # 299

Hello Friends!  Thank you for stopping by to check out my Mojo Monday card.  This card was made using the Surf's Up paper pack from Close to my Heart and features two great stamp sets that are only available for the month of June.

I wanted to use the Surf's Up paper pack because it coordinates great with the June Stamp of the Month  A Flowering Bunch.  This beautiful stamp features images that are great to use with our exclusive inks marker sets or watercolor pencils.  You can make this stamp set yours for only $5 with a $50 purchase or by itself for $17.95.  Hurry, this stamp set is only available for a few more days!

To make this card, I stamped the "Thank You" image onto a 2" piece of White Daisy card stock that I cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  Then I inked the edges with ink.  I stamped the flower image and two leaves onto White Daisy and added some color.  For the leaves, I used Ponderosa Pine markers and alternated with the lighter color.  For the flower, I used the Sorbet ink pad and the alcohol blending marker to create light and dark points in the flower.  The circle shape was cut at 2 1/2" from the Artiste cartridge using chocolate card stock and the base was made from a 5" x 10" piece and folded.

A Gift For You - Treat Box

Hello Everyone!  Today I made a treat box using the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to my Heart.  This is a quick and easy box that can be filled with many different items and used for any occasion.  This project features papers from the Chantilly paper pack as well as the Chantilly card workshop.

I started with one sheet of 12x12 Kraft cardstock for the box.  The box shape is on pg. 22 and I cut it at 11 1/4 inches.  I used the My Acrylix stamp set called Distressed Backgrounds and stamped all of the sides using my Brown Bag stamp pad.  Then I inked the edges using the same ink.  

I cut a 1/2" x 12" strip from a sheet of Lagoon paper and then cut two 4" pieces from it.  I used the Lagoon stamp pad to ink the edges of each strip and adhere them to the front and back of the box.  I also used the Lagoon ink pad to stamp the sentiment and frame.  I used the My Acrylix stamp sets Frame Flair and Enjoy!  Then, I cut three flowers from a piece of Buttercup cardstock at 2, 2 1/2, 2 3/4 inches and three green flowers from the green B&T duo sheet at 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 inches.

I finished the box off with sparkles, glitter paper, ribbon from the Chantilly card kit and a Foundry Binder clip.

Floral Happiness

Today I made a very simple card using the March stamp of the month, Floral Happiness, from Close to my Heart.

My inspiration for this card came from a very talented fellow consultant and Damask Diva.  Visit the Damask Divas website for tons of inspiration as well as great tips and techniques.

I used the Floral Happiness stamp and the exclusive inks stamp pad in Hollyhock to stamp the flower images using the first and second generation technique.  I used the same ink pad to ink the edges of the entire card, flowers and butterflies.  For the leaves, I used Topiary and Chocolate ink.  The butterflies are Just Blooms flutter paper shapes from CTMH.  The stamp that I used for the frame around the sentiment is called Frame Flair.  I LOVE that stamp set and all of the shapes coordinate with cuts from the Art Philosophy Cart.  I used a hole punch to add ribbon to the card flap.  The ribbon is from the Designer ribbon red collection and it is in the While supplies last section of my website for only $1.50!!  Check that out as well as some other amazing products, most of which are under $3.00.

Damask Divas - Chantilly Blog Hop

My project is a 6x6 accordion album.  

I purchased three of these online so I could decorate one for each of my little ones.  The Chantilly paper was perfect for this.  I made each of the shapes on the pages in the craft room to fit how I wanted in the 6x6 space, making them large enough for photos and embellishments.  I made a small tag for journaling because I am not a very good writer :(. The flowers are from Art Philosophy and they range in size from 1 1/4 to 2 1/4.  The branches were cut at 2.5 and I scored the leaves down the middle so I could bend them.  I also added an envelope for any keepsake items we may want to save - that was cut at about 5in.  I added chocolate ink to all of my edges and added some glitter paper, shimmer trim, and sparkles to finish.

Scrapbook layout using Clementine paper pack

While going through all of my paper, I found a few pieces of Clementine paper and wanted to use them for something, anything!  I have tons of pictures of my girls that don't have a home so I went online and found a template that I thought would be perfect.  Check it out.

All of the cuts were made with the Art Philosophy cartridge with the exception of the tag.  I think I cut that from the Treat Boxes cartridge a while back when it was free in the craft room.  I embellished with Opaques Mocha gems, Bitty Opaques Pearls, edge anchors and ribbon from the Cocoa collection.  I also used the Chocolate stamp pad to ink the edges.

Yesterday, I finally decided to get crackin' on putting together my sons scrapbook.  And it's about time because he is almost 4 months old!  I did a one page layout using a pattern from the Close To My Heart book - Make It From Your Heart.

Using the beautiful La Belle Vie paper pack, I made two different projects.  First, I made an exploding box as a present for my daughter.  She turned 5 two weeks ago and I wanted to make something special and fill it with some of her favorite things.  I also made a little charm bracelet for her.

 The second layer was made with pockets for money.

 Third layer has cards for messages from mom, dad sis and brother.

 I couldn't leave little sister out 

so I made her a little something too.
