My Card Using The Art Philosophy Cartridge

Today I made this card using an old Mojo Monday sketch and the Art Philosophy cartridge.  One of the things that I love about Close To My Heart is that a lot of the stamp sets will coordinate with the cuts from the cartridges.  These flowers were made using the Girls Rock stamp set and the sentiment shape came from a retired stamp called You & Me.  This card idea can be used for a number of different occasions,  I made this one as a celebration card for a birthday.

Art Philosophy Door Hanger

Hello and Welcome!  Today I made a door hanger using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I made this as a cute way to hold my Business cards.  My local Starbucks has a bulletin board for people to post items so I thought that this would be a great way to advertise Close To My Heart.

The door hanger was cut at 10in and it is the perfect size for me to put in a bunch of business cards.  You can make this bigger or smaller to fit whatever it is that you want to hold - candy, snacks, nail items, pocket sanitizer, lip gloss, tissue, drink mixes, spices, etc.   Pick the size that suits your need and embellish away!!

Mojo Monday #300

Hello and Welcome!  Today I would love to share my entry for the Mojo Monday #300 Blog Celebration.  I really enjoy making card entries when I can for Mojo Monday and I wanted to say CONGRATS on hitting 300!  Can't wait for more challenges :)

I made this card using the Buzz and Bumble paper pack from Close to my Heart and two great stamps - For Every Occasion and a previous stamp of the month Friendship Bouquet.  I used the Artiste cart to cut the banner shape and hand cut the rest.  The flower was stamped with Cocoa ink and colored in using Honey, Autumn Terracotta, and Olive markers.  It is embellished with Opaques Mocha Gems and Chocolate grosgrain ribbon.

Mojo Monday # 299

Hello Friends!  Thank you for stopping by to check out my Mojo Monday card.  This card was made using the Surf's Up paper pack from Close to my Heart and features two great stamp sets that are only available for the month of June.

 The "Thank You" stamp set is from a really wonderful promotion from Close to my Heart that takes place from May 30, 2013 to June 30, 2013.  When you purchase this stamp set, 100% of the profit will be donated to the American Red Cross to aid tornado victims in Oklahoma.  This stamp set will be available again in the Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book but was released early just for this promotion.  Make sure you get one (or more) and help out a great cause!

I wanted to use the Surf's Up paper pack because it coordinates great with the June Stamp of the Month  A Flowering Bunch.  This beautiful stamp features images that are great to use with our exclusive inks marker sets or watercolor pencils.  You can make this stamp set yours for only $5 with a $50 purchase or by itself for $17.95.  Hurry, this stamp set is only available for a few more days!

To make this card, I stamped the "Thank You" image onto a 2" piece of White Daisy card stock that I cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  Then I inked the edges with ink.  I stamped the flower image and two leaves onto White Daisy and added some color.  For the leaves, I used Ponderosa Pine markers and alternated with the lighter color.  For the flower, I used the Sorbet ink pad and the alcohol blending marker to create light and dark points in the flower.  The circle shape was cut at 2 1/2" from the Artiste cartridge using chocolate card stock and the base was made from a 5" x 10" piece and folded.
